(Total) Recall The Governator   no comments

Posted at 2:14 pm in General

Glad the California State Senate put this to rest for now by defeating first budget proposed of the fiscal year.

However I can’t believe with the dump our economy is in that Arnold Schwarzenegger wanted to impose an additional tax on the state of California. He claimed it was supposed to be a “temporary tax” but we know all good and well that “temporary” ALWAYS becomes permanent when speaking of taxes. I am unemployed and have chosen not to burden the state by filing for unemployment or welfare. I’m beginning to think I am an idiot for not doing so because every way I turn someone is trying to stick their hands in my pocket. It happened to me as a business owner and it continues to happen has a regular unemployed schmoe. I know I’m wrong for thinking or expecting it to be any different.

Arnold Schwarzenegger

Previously Arnold had been against a plan that would tax the states richest people. Of course he opposed that as it would have effected him and his buddies. I too oppose it as I believe in the trickle down effect but find it awfully hilarious that he opposes that and thinks he can get away with screwing over us grunts of the state. Sorry buddy but most of us do not have the deep pockets you do!! Makes me sick to think I fell for your early rhetoric, you and George Bush are one in the same. I supported you both early on and now everyday I regret anything good I’ve ever said about the both of you.

California already is taxed amongst the highest in state income tax. A yearly salary of $45,000 which is barely enough to live on in a comfortable manner in this state reaches close to 10%  of your total income. We also have the highest gas tax at .45 cents per gallon and add the local city and county tax to that you get just under or a little over $1.00 (depending on your location) per gallon of gas in tax.

Is Arnold Schwarzenegger really that shielded from the common man that he thought this “temporary tax” would be ok? Is he really that evil to think he can do what he wants? Is he really  that dumb to think he can get away with this? No matter what I’m sure he believes and is probably right that the people who are aware of this will forget about this come election time. He’s going to have to take a lot of public speaking lessons from Barack Obama in order to make me forget.

Between the Global Warming tax Arnold wanted to impose and now this tax, Governator, you’ve lost my vote

Rolling Stones classic wakes grandfather from coma

A 60-year-old grandfather woke up from a 10-week coma after his favorite Rolling Stones song was blared into his ears.

Sam Carter lost consciousness after contracting severe anemia but was brought back to life when “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” was blared into his ears.

The anthem was the first single the retired baker from Stoke in Staffordshire ever bought, released in 1965 when he was just 17.

Despite only being given a 30 per cent chance of survival, he woke from his coma after his wife Eva, 65, took the doctor’s advice and played him his favorite tunes through a set of earphones.

After three days of listening to the local Stoke station Signal 2, his eyes opened as soon as he heard the sound of Mick Jagger’s vocals and Keith Richards’ guitar riff.

Sam said: “I can’t remember much from being in a coma, but I do remember that when that song came on it took me right back to when I was a youngster.

“I could remember how excited I was to get it down at the record shop.

“I suddenly had a burst of energy and knew I had a lot more life left in me and that’s when I woke up - to the sound of the first song I ever bought.”

Same, who has three children and six grandchildren, added: “I would love to thank Mick and the rest of the Stones personally - I feel they really did help wake me from my coma.”

Wife Eva said she had switched on the radio at Stoke’s City General Hospital in a last-ditch attempt to bring him back a fortnight ago, after growing increasingly frustrated with his lack of progress.

She said: “I didn’t really think it would work.

“I couldn’t believe it when he started opening his eyes and looked at me. It was like we had been given another chance.”
